When BookFunnel told me about this multi-author promotion of “Christian Women’s Fiction with Grit,” I wasn’t exactly sure what they meant by “grit” in genre fiction. The organizer stated: “Looking for Contemporary Christian Women’s Fiction to suit 35-55 year old bracket. Clean with biblical principles but can address challenging themes. Romance themes welcome.”
My dictionary says grit means “courage and resolve” or “strength of character.” If that is the case, then INTERPOL Agent Marie Bouchard in my novel Wait for Me certainly has that. On top of her difficult job of chasing down criminals across continents, she also has to make sure that her family stays safe.
Raising a son alone isn’t what Logan Urquhart envisions the outcome of his marriage to be. Marie’s secret life in Europe tears their marriage apart, and makes a single dad out of him.
Five-year-old Jonas doesn’t understand what a divorce is or why his mom has to go away for such long periods of time. All he wants is to be with her.
When the broken family comes together on an Alaskan cruise for the sake of their only son, little do they know the danger that is cruising along with them. Will they be able to stay alive long enough to reach shore again?
From time to time, I participate in author cross promotions, where a number of books from various authors are listed together, like a spread on a buffet table. I do not know all the authors nor have I read all their books. However, the idea is to introduce new readers to my books.
