So Much Work!

2019-03-31 By Jan Thompson

Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, or months, where you have so much to do, and so little time to do everything?

The first quarter of this year has been super busy for me. Book 7 in my Savannah Sweethearts series was released in February. Book 8 is coming soon in May.

The next book on the way is Book 3 of either Vacation Sweethearts or Seaside Chapel. Or both. It all depends on how much time and health I have.

My prayer is to be sure that I am doing the right things at the right time, and to be careful not to veer off course from the goals of my calling.

How about you? Are you busy, busy, busy? Here are some verses of encouragement for your work:

  • 2 Chronicles 15:7
  • Colossians 3:23-24
  • Psalm 18:30
  • Isaiah 40:31
  • Psalm 62:7
  • 1 Corinthians 10:31
  • Psalm 16:1
  • John 9:4
  • Romans 8:37
  • Matthew 6:21

At the end of the day, to God be the glory!

In Christ,
Jan Thompson

Diego and the Will of God

2019-03-29 By Jan Thompson

Have you read Know You More, the story of Pastor Diego Flores and historian Heidi Wei?

This is Book 1 in my Savannah Sweethearts series. It’s in Kindle Unlimited like the rest of the series (except the prequel), but you can buy it for $0.99 on Amazon, if you’re not a KU subscriber.

In Know You More, Diego learns to trust God for both his pastoral live and his personal love. Some say that it should be easy for him to trust God, since he is the pastor of Riverside Chapel. Shouldn’t a pastor know how to trust God already? Does anyone need to tell him?

Well, if you recall, Timothy in the Bible had to learn to trust God too, even as he was the pastor of a church that Paul started. If we say we have arrived, then we haven’t. If we say we already know the answer and don’t need God’s instructions any more, then we’re heading toward some cliff of no return.

For Diego, he doesn’t have to leave Savannah or Tybee Island to find God’s perfect will for his life. His battle is in his mind and heart.

And yet, in the middle of his battle, God proves to be faithful, as He always is.

May this book encourage you to seek the Lord and stay in His perfect will for your life.

Happy reading!

In Christ,
Jan Thompson
