My 2018 Blogs at InspyRomance

December 31, 2018 By Jan Thompson

Did you know that I blog at InspyRomance? It’s a wonderful community of authors and readers, and being invited to blog there is icing on the cake for me. I blog about the writing life and sometimes I talk about backstage things about my books.

If you’re an author, you know that writing is a demanding job, where you have to be in your story world until the book is completed. The longer the book, the more time you spend in front of the screen, creating scenes and chapters, one letter of the alphabet at a time.

Communicating with my readers on my mailing list is a good thing. And so is being in a community of authors, like the Christian Indie Authors (CIA) group and the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) organization, but to be on a blogging website with yet more authors and readers is another bonus.

Here are all my posts from 2018.

April 2018: Hello Readers!

May 2018: Diego on the River

May 2018 (for June 2018): Another Summer, Another Year

July 2018: Heidi Wei-Flores: Character Interview

August 2018: Scars & Circumstances

September 2018: Layers of Paint

October 2018: Is Anything Stopping You From Succeeding?

November 2018: Be Still and Know He is God

December 2018: Merry Christmas!

More InspyRomance blog posts will be coming in 2019. Stay tuned!

Joyfully in Jesus,
Jan Thompson

Two Free eBooks

December 29, 2018 By Jan Thompson

Guess what, readers? Both the prequel and Book 1 of my Savannah Sweethearts series are currently free. Yeah, I know right. Whassup?

  • Ask You Later: JanThompson.com/ask-free
  • Know You More: JanThompson.com/know

Well, the Ask You Later (Savannah Sweethearts Book 0) prequel is not listed in the series on Amazon (which begins its series numbering with 1 instead of 0, unlike Apple iBooks). Thus, for a short time, I want to get the word out that, yes, the prequel novel does exist. Surprise!

No, Mr. Surprised Squirrel is not in Ask You Later, but a piece of sea glass is. I won’t say more.

As for Know You More (Savannah Sweethearts Book 1), that book has been free for a while since it kicks off the entire series from Books 1-10. Don’t miss it. I don’t know how long this long novella will be free on all retailers.

Find your favorite retailers here: JanThompson.com/know

Both books are set in Savannah and on Tybee Island by the Atlantic Ocean. If you have already read some of the books in my Savannah Sweethearts series, you might remember that the series features a church on a riverboat…

Happy reading!

Jan

Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2018 By Jan Thompson

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:10-14).
